Best Fabrics for Pajama Manufacturing
Silk
In view of all the qualities, silk is regarded as one of the most celebrated fabrics for pajamas. This material is not only soft to the skin during hotter months but it also feels cool. Being a natural fabric, it also is very breathable, as it circulates air through it to keep a person cool.
Silk is also an extremely lightweight fabric. When worn, it is barely felt on the person. The one disadvantage to silk is the fact that it holds more sweat and body oils, so it must be cleaned more often. Plus, many silk pajamas are more expensive than other types of pajamas.
Cotton
Cotton is particularly known to be light and breathable, being after all a natural fabric. It is indeed among the most superior soft fabrics; therefore, it's excellent for making pajamas. It is soft and smooth on the skin, with a possible cooling effect.
Cotton is also slightly stretchy, hence it does not necessarily restrict one's movement around cotton pyjamas for that much. On the downside, cotton in itself isn't all that great for moisture wicking, so it may not be all that well-suited for you if you happen to sleep while soaked in sweat.
Knit materials
Knit fabrics, in particular, modal and jersey for spring and summer, are lightweight and breathable. Generally made from cotton, modal and jersey are just more breathable in that they are knitted, rather than woven. Most natural fabrics are more breathable than synthetic ones, and the same goes with linen. Moreover, linen is probably one of the lightest and most comfortable fabrics.
